25 Bookish Facts About Me + GIFs


1. The book that made me fall in love with reading was "Ballet Shoes" by Noel Streatfeild (Portuguese Translation), when I was on the second grade.

2. My aunt had to force me to read my first big book (mentioned above)... I really hated reading.


3. I'm obsessed with Meg Cabot's books.

4. I read in three languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish (which I learned in school).
5. Even though I have tons of bookmarks I never seem to have one when I need one...

6. I have a youtube playlist for "Die for Me" by Amy Plum (Click Here) and "Running from Romeo" by Diane Mannino (Click Here). 

7. I like to create my own bookmarks.

8. When I went to Florence this Summer my mum bought me a leather bookmark of the Duomo and I love it.

9. When I read I immediately think about songs that go with the theme I'm reading about.

10. One time I was reading "Queen of Shadows" by Sarah J. Maas at 03:00 a.m. and started laughing histerically (reason = Rowan) and almost woke my entire family.

11. Fangirling is a huge part of my life (thanks to Will Herondale, Jace Herondale, Michael Moscowitz, Tamlin...).

12. I strangelly expect that things that happen in books to happen in real life, even though I know it's impossible.

13. I'm actually very afraid of reviewing books because I'm afraid to make grammar mistakes and similar...

14. I'm always trying (and failing) to draw the fictional characthers I love.

15. I'm re-reading "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen and have a page in my notebook whose title is "O Sr. Darcy disse..." which means "Mr. Darcy said...".

16. When I like a book I usually read it very fast and then re-read it at least three times.

17. I read "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon in one day.

18. Erotica doesn't make sense to me but I'll read it if there's nothing else to read and wont complain.

19. My favourite Portuguese author is Isabel Ricardo.

20. I read Portuguese History and World History books for leisure.

21. When I'm going to buy a book I always read the first sentence of it. 
22. None of my friends read the same books as me, since most of them aren't translated in Portuguese, so I only have the internet to talk about them.

23. I want the Shadowhunters tv show to premiere so I can dress up like a Shadowhunter on Carnival and people don't think I'm a gothic chic with meanless tatoos.

24. My whole family is addicted to reading but no one reads the same things, except for me and my cousin. We have very similar taste in books.

25. I think every book is special in it's own way and that we should all be book advocates.

  1. Great post! Omg I am always worried about making grammar mistakes too. I'm sure I've made a lot of mistakes, but at the end of the day oh well. LOL.
