Review:
Forbidden is an YA paranormal novel in which we can witness Claire Brennan's discovery of her own amazing nature.
At first, Claire is a silly normal girl that has moved a lot trough the years and wants to find seeks stability in her life.
On the first day of school she meets a exchange student, from Scotland, called Alec. Alec is a strange guy and Claire doesn't know what to think of her attraction for him.
Claire starts having visions and has to keep them a secret, what she doesn't know is that Alec has some secrets of his own, and those secrets should keep him away from her.
This book talks about typical teenage life like hiding secrets from parents, having trouble with friends and struggling to overcome some complicated teachers at school but all that jazz while Claire discover who she is as a supernatural being.
Love and self discovery are key themes in this book but Claire doesn't only discovers herself as a nephilim but she discovers a whole new world, the world of angels, and in that world she discovers who Alec really is.
Loving Alec proves that wether you are human, angel or part angel love is always the most powerful force in the whole world.
In my humble opinion I just think that Claire and Alec are like the perfect contraparts of each other. He has a dark past with awful actions and she is a sweet innocent girl who is just now discovering the true meaning of love and fear.
In the end I think that those who love paranormal fiction, expecially about angels, will love this book and even if you don't usually read this style I think you should try to read this book, since it's very easy going and balanced in terms of action and deep plot.
I would love to see a sequel of this book, since it ends with a humongous cliff hanger, so please authors, if you're reading this, please write a sequel.

Hi Guys!!!!
Soooooooooooo.... today I'm going to list ALL of my Phillipa Gregory book's!
I know this might seem like a very odd post but I'm completely obsessed with this amazing author.
I read my first Phillipa Gregory's book when I was 8 and I couldn't stop since then and because of that I own nearly all of Philipa's books that are published in Portugal.
Hopefully, with this post you'll be able to get to know new books and maybe you'll want to read them!
So I'll start the list:

  • The White Queen
  • The Red Queen
  •  The Lady of The Rivers
  •  The Kingmaker's Daughter
  • The White Princess
  • The Other Queen
  • The Queen's Fool

March Book Haul

Hi guys! So today (as the title says) I'm going to post my March book haul!!!
First let me state that I'm not bragging in any way about the thigns I can have and I don't mean to offend anyone.
This Book Haul contains some books that I've got since January!

The first book I got was "The White Princess" by Philippa Gregory.
This book came out about an year ago but it was only published in portuguese (I live in Portugal) last September and it's kind of an expensive book, it costs 17,96€ (with a discount) so I was saving money to buy it until my parents offered it to me!

"Percy Jackson and The Lightening Thief" by Rick Riordan  is the next book I got! I was always curious about this giant series ( there are like 11 books about Percy and his journey) and it was totally worth it, this book is awesome!

"Throne of Glass" by Sara J. Maas, was next!
I had already rad the ebook but this book took my heart away so magically that I bought it and I'm currently reading it again (therefore the bookmark)!

"City of Glass" and "City of Fallen Angels" by Cassandra Clare were the last books I bought.
I already read them but they are part of one of my favourite series and I'm  buying Clare's books slowly.

I love you all and hope you are having a great week! Love, Ana
P.S.; Here are some flowers of my garden tho cheer you up!

She can count on nothing from her past—not her parents, her surname, or her safety. Only the brother she didn’t know and his colony of were-lynxes offer any semblance of stability. Suspicious of everyone and unsure of her path forward, Kennedy reluctantly starts to realize that charming were-bobcat Asher Monroe might be her only hope.
Sportswriter Asher has been trying desperately to ferret out the truth behind why the sinister Nexus Group has been kidnapping and experimenting on were-cats. But he’s also willing to use his special mind-controlling ability to discover whether the gorgeous Kennedy is a threat to the colony or simply a lost soul.
As their need for the truth takes them into escalating danger, they discover explosive secrets that could bring Kennedy and Asher together — or rip them apart forever.

Review:
This ARC was sent to me by Irresistible Reads for review.
The premise of this book is very intriguing and caught my eye immediatly since it has the new concept of were-lynx which is something that I had never read about.
The characters are very good and complex, having many layers of personality that we get to know as we read along.
Kennedy changes as the story goes and you can see how her trust in people grows as her relationship with Asher gets serious, giving a terrific example on how the gosts of your past can be sent away by love and trust.
Getting to know each little detail and every little thought I felt like I was in the story, I felt like I was one of the characters.
This book takes your breath away with each chapter and ends the most amazing way ever possible! I don't know if I'm surprised but I can surely tell you that I fell in love with this story.

Bookshelf Organization

Hi guys!!!!
I know I have been away for far too long but school has been keeping me from developing any kind of hobby!
I didn't had any breaks between tests and I also had scout compromises and doctor appointments to attend so it has been very very hard.
To reddem my self, I bring you a little post about bookshelf organization!
This sunday I finally had a little spare time so I took the time to organize and clean my shelfs!!! (#bookshelfporn)
I think this is something that every book lover struggles with "How do I do this s****?", so I'll tell you my small plan:
  1. Take everything from the shelves.
  2. Clean the shelves (dust and other stuff).
  3. Plan how do you want to organize them (I usually do: author, genre, love).
  4. Clean the dust from each book as you are putting them on the shelves (this is very important for people with allergies).
  5. Put all of your books on the shelves.
  6. Clean and put your decorations on the shelves.
  7. Open your window to let the dust out of the room (very important if the bookshelf in question is in your room).
  8. Enjoy your perfectly organized bookshelf!
This is how my shelves turned out:

One of my main goals, besides cleaning, was to try to gain more space for other books and I think I nailed it (before some of my books weren't even on my shelves)!
I'm pretty satisfied with the final result, what do you think?

Book Mail - Goodreads First Reads

Hi guys! Today I picked up two books in the mail!
I won these books at Goodreads First Reads and I'm so happy and thankful!
The first book I receive it's a poem book from Rui Serra, a Portuguese author, the book is named Fragmentos do Meu Pensar.
I'm currently reading it and it's really great but I like to take it slow.

The second book I received is Wicked Night by Tierney O'Malley! I heard wonderful things about this book and I can't wait to read it!

Both authors were super nice and signed both books! I'll post a review on both books when I'm done with them!
