2018

2018  was not an easy year, whether reading wise whether in my personal life, although it was a year filled with adventures and new experiences. In 2018 I experienced many negative feelings, that I have been working on surpassing but I also discovered myself in a whole new way. The year started quite unremarkable, but it did start with me reading a lot of new books since I had received a lot of books for Christmas in 2017. Although I will admit that I slacked and did not write reviews on them. I noticed that my reading diminished this year and I intend to amend that in 2019!

2018 was a year in which I did not accomplish what I hoped to accomplish with this blog in terms of content. I have difficulties sticking to a schedule and with posting consistently, that may be due to my increased need to study more for classes at the university. This is a lesson I intend to learn and use as an example of what I do not want to do in 2019. I want to be able to stick to a posting schedule so I can have quality content on a consistent basis.

2018 was a year in which I saw the world through a different lens. In 2018 I had the opportunity to participate in my first international scout's camp, the Roverway 2018. I had the chance to meet and work with many amazing people who changed my outlook on the world. For this, I travelled to the Netherlands and also learned many valuable lessons in logistics while planning the trip with my scouts' group. I also learned a lot about fundraising and organising events - it is much more difficult than it appears - which helped develop my personal skills.

2018 was the year when I earned my first paycheck. In 2018 I got my first Summer job. I worked in a tomato paste factory in Portugal. I got out of that experience with a lot of respect for the ones who work in factories. It is very difficult to work 8 hours on your feet every day for a not very high paycheck. When I finished my time there I slept for one whole day, but it was a very satisfying feeling to receive my own paycheck for the first time.

2018 was a year in which I went to study a semester abroad in England. I am currently still experiencing this adventure but let me tell you that this is a once in a lifetime experience. I have been trying to post regularly about my experience in my The Erasmus Diaries series. My time in England is ending, for now.

I hope 2019 will be a better year! I intend to work on myself but also to work on this blog, that is like my baby. I hope to be able to transfer everything to my own domain this year (I have actually owned it since May, so you get the picture).

If you have suggestions on what you would like to see in this blog next year please leave a comment below. Your feedback is very important!

Thank you for letting me share my love for books and my life with you💖
